Abstract:

Health care personnel (HCP) are at risk of HIV, Hepatitis B (HBV) and Hepatitis C (HCV) infection following occupational exposures to blood and other potentially infectious body fluids. All reported Blood and Body Fluid Exposures (BBFE) are evaluated by a dedicated team. Post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) is provided and staff is monitored prospectively.
