For cancer patients facing months of treatment, these devices represent both a clinical necessity and a constant companion throughout their cancer journey. Despite their widespread use, the management of PICCs in oncology settings presents unique challenges that demand specialized knowledge and careful consideration of both clinical outcomes and patient experience.
