CLABSI prevention bundle audits

Abstract:

The Covid-19 Pandemic exacerbated previously existing healthcare challenges related to hospital acquired infections (HAIs). Nursing students were deployed to augment staffing shortages and mitigate incidences of CAUTI and CLABSI. The use of nursing students as an adjunct to infection prevention measures facilitated success in sustaining low rates of catheter associated blood stream infections (CLABSI) and catheter associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI).
