“A decision was made within the authors’ cancer centre that all breast cancer patients receiving adjuvant anthracycline chemotherapy, and all patients who could potentially receive infusional chemotherapy in the outpatient setting, would be proactively booked for a peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) before their first cycle of treatment.”
