We read with great interest the recently published paper by Chopra V et al, on peripherally inserted central catheter-related deep vein thrombosis. As the authors point out, recent diagnosis of cancer and PICC gauge are associated with PICC associated deep vein thrombosis (DVT). This conclusion is consistent with previous reports. However, several issues described in this article warrant further discussion.
