Sharps injuries are a well-known risk to workers in healthcare and for those who receive them they can cause anxiety and distress and may result in exposure to bloodborne viruses (BBVs) such as HIV or hepatitis B or C. This guide has been developed to help individuals understand and manage the risks from sharps injuries.
