VisIV container reduces IV waste

Kennedy Health System recently announced that it has implemented the VisIV flexible intravenous container. The VisIV container results in 40 to 70 percent less waste than other flexible I.V. containers.

“Kennedy is committed to reducing the environmental impact of the products we use to treat our patients,” said Kennedy President and CEO Richard E. Murray. “The VisIV container is an environmentally conscious technology that helps us reduce our medical product waste, while enhancing the quality and safety of care for our patients.”

The VisIV container was launched by the hospital products company Hospira, Inc. in April 2006.
