RCN haematology and IV conference

Intravenous conference: The RCN haematology and intravenous therapy forum conference and exhibition has been announced. The programme encompasses the interests of nurses working with children and/or adults affected by haemophilia and related bleeding disorders. It will appeal to nurses with a significant interest in this field as well as specialists. There will be opportunities for exhibition viewing, networking with colleagues and discussion of the new forum priorities.

Workshops include:

  • Transition from port to peripheral. Anna Farrell, Haemophilia Clinical Nurse Specialist, Bristol Royal Hospital for Children; and Emma Franklin, Haemophilia Clinical Nurse Specialist, Avon Haematology Unit
  • Venous access issues and solutions. Abi Morris, and Kate Forsyth, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Haemophilia Centre, The Royal London Hospital.
