Health Service Ombudsman states that more must be done to saves lives of patients with sepsis

#IVTEAM #Intravenous news: BBC report “More must be done to save the lives of patients with sepsis, says a report from the Health Service Ombudsman. It found significant failings in treatment of the condition, which is caused when the body’s immune system overreacts to infection. It focused on 10 patients who were not treated urgently enough and died. The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence will produce guidance for GPs and clinicians to help them recognise sepsis at an early stage.”
