“A peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) provides a safe and effective central venous vascular access during the chemotherapy for patients with tumors. Valve-type PICCs are generally selected for patients undergoing multiple cycles of chemotherapy for tumors due to the advantages of fewer complications and easier maintenance compared with end-opening catheters.
