Pseudoaneurysm formation after umbilical arterial catheterization

Intravenous literature: So, M.J., Kobayashi, D., Anthony, E. and Singh, J. (2012) Pseudoaneurysm formation after umbilical arterial catheterization: an uncommon but potentially life-threatening complication. Journal of Perinatology. 32(2), p.147-149.

Relatively straightforward placement of an umbilical arterial catheter can be complicated by psuedoaneurysm formation in the presence of a coagulopathy. Pertinent imaging findings are described with a brief literature review.
