“Sharps injuries are of great concern for health care workers (HCWs) and are related to a number of adverse effects, including both physical problems and economic burdens1,2 as well as psychological impacts. However, published research in this area is limited compared with reports describing incidence, situations when it happens, risk factors, and economic costs. Consequently, we conducted a study to investigate and evaluate the psychological impact of sharps injuries on HCWs.”
