Catheter-related or central line-associated bloodstream infections (CRBSIs/CLABSIs) are among the most common complications of central vascular catheterization and are associated with a high economic burden. This burden is compounded due to the rising rates of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) globally. It is important to assess AMR rates and other AMR-related outcomes such as mortality associated with CLABSI/CRBSI events.
