In Reply We thank Mordenti and colleagues for their response to our article regarding use of peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs) in Michigan.1 We were pleased to learn that our work stimulated internal review of practices by their PICC team. Mordenti and colleagues report excellent outcomes: both immediate and delayed complication rates were low and indications for insertion appear appropriate. Although the dwell time for PICCs was not provided, we congratulate them on this achievement and their use of the Michigan Appropriateness Guide to Intravascular Catheters (MAGIC) to inform care.2
