Intravenous literature: Lewis, G. (2009) ANTT clinical competencies for nursing students. Australian Nursing Journal. 17/(4), p.39-41.

Extract:
“Development of correct aseptic practice is essential for nurses to reduce the risk of hospital acquired infections (HAI). In reviewing current educational strategies there appear to be a number of issues facing student nurses when learning to correctly manage a wound or other intervention that requires aseptic technique. This article does not intend to advise on specif- ic wound management interventions, rather it simply intends to extend the debate on the use of aseptic non touch technique (ANTT) combined with a wound field approach to reduce wound and invasive procedure complexity.”
